Carolina Landing Reserve is only 4 miles from the South Carolina/Georgia border on I-85. It is a Thousand Trails Encore Resort situated on the shores of Lake Hartwell. Upon entering the reserve and at "check in" you will be greeted by friendly personnel explaining how to make the most of your camping experience.
The Campground
Carolina Landing provides 217 full service RV spaces, 100 Water & Electric and several primitive campsites. Large comfortable cabins are available and located by the lake. A clubhouse with a capacity for 200 people is the perfect place for large gatherings and special events. There are also a wide variety of activities available for family fun and frolic here at Carolina Landing; and as with all Thousand Trails Reserves, there are several permanent sites that can be purchased where the owner can place and maintain their RV, Park Model Mobile Home or Cabin on their own personal site.
What's Needed
All that's needed for a fun camping vacation here at Carolina Landing is you. The outdoor activities available include two horseshoe pits, tennis courts, a beach volleyball sand-court, a basketball court and an 18-hole miniature golf course. There are also two outdoor swimming pools, one for adult use and one for families. There is a modestly stocked Country Store, television room with game and puzzle tables. A large laundry room is on the property and several bath houses are strategically placed throughout the campground.

Lake Hartwell State Park covers 56,000 acres and is the home of fishing, boating and every sort of outdoor water activity. Carolina Landing campground is located on a portion of the Lake Hartwell water front. A stroll around the campground on a cool morning will soon find you dockside, as the morning sun glittering off the soft ripples of the lake surface will draw you back morning after morning.
Anderson Jockey Lot is the Souths Biggest and World's Best Flea Market! Located on US Highway 29 in Belton South Carolina between Anderson and Greenville. Anderson Jockey Lot has been bringing small business to bargain shoppers for over 32 years. Yard sale items from trash to treasure and more are offered every Saturday and Sunday. Over 1500 hobby and yard sale dealers offer on over 65 acres everything you can imagine:

There is also a Jockey Lot in nearby Greenville South Carolina. Greenville is a bustling metropolis with shops and parks along the Reedy River and has been voted one of the most popular places for retiring baby boomers.
The mountains of North Georgia are a day trip away, just south on I-85. You'll not regret the decision to take the scenic drive to Talullah Falls, Mount Yonah and through the Chattahoochee National Forest.
What's New
What's new here at Carolina Landing is the ownership. Over the years the campground has fallen into some disrepair. Members are optimistically looking forward to watching the new owner restore functionality and life to the wooded serenity of this park.
One aspect of camping that you don't often consider is beauty. Personal beauty that is, as campers are most times, make-up free, pony-tailed and pajama clad. However, Carolina Landing has their own member/beautician, when available, on site for hair cuts and camping-friendly styles.
